Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Dinas Powys

La Marina Restaurant

We were treated to a totally wonderful experience in this delightful restaurant, courtesy of our generous daughter and son-in-law. What a wonderful choice of seafood or delicious meat on display! The oysters were superb and the lobster thermador was the best I'd ever eaten. Many, many thanks to a fabulous chef and lovely waiting staff for a truly memorable treat!

Good food, good wine, lovely setting and interesting history about the place. Reasonably priced too. There's a lovely terrace and a small balcony for the views. It's definitely worth a visit especially with the nearby barrage.

Had a fantastic evening sat on the Chef's table in the kitchen! Food was amazing and a great experience to watch everything being prepared. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to go again!

WOW...what can I say? The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine, the service and food was amazing. Compliments to the chefs tonight, this was our first visit and we will definitely be back 😊

Pier 64 Penarth

Treat yourself and visit this fantastic restaurant. Situated in Penarth Marina, with views overlooking the quayside, its a lovely modern restaurant serving fantastic food. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for! High standards all round. In the warmer weather, you can pop in a have a drink on the delightful terrace area overlooking the marina - you don't have to be eating to visit this place. The terrace enjoys a sunny aspect from late afternoon's in the summer.

We booked this lovely venue for a family birthday lunch ahead of a party later in the day. Since it's right on the Penarth Marina it can be simply gorgeous when the weather is sunny and we were lucky the weather cooperated. We sat in a lovely booth overlooking the water and two of the us order from the special lunch menu. Two courses for £14.95, three for £17.95. And I must say the food was outstanding and generous - many times with a lunch menu the plates can be smaller and basic. Not here. The offerings we good sized plates and really well prepared (see photos). The service was excellent too. The only thing I could suggest to offer validated parking in the pay and display opposite (only because the machine accepts coins), since the parking for the restaurant is small and always full. But 5* nonetheless. Well done Pier 64!
