Great value family venue. Lovely crêpes!
Good ingredients well prepared, service at best ok. Not really my choice of food but very good all the same.

My parents and I had lunch here today. We had a lovely table outside in the sun and although the food took some time to get to us, when it did it was really tasty. Reasonably priced and a good variety of choice. I would definitely recommend and revisit
It's been quite busy when we've been here but the food and service are fine if a bit over-attentive. I'd rather not have 'mate' used in substitute for a full stop and be constantly addressed as 'you guys'. Good selection of reasonable food.

Lovely decor, atmosphere, staff, and food!!
Service was excellent. Nice ambience and atmosphere. Food looked very pretty on the plates, but for me there was no 'wow' factor, so i felt it was overpriced.

Located in Penarth, you would think Mint and Mustard would struggle to gather any traction when it comes to food. At a time when Indian food is everywhere and as it's sharing a postcode with the only Michelin starred restaurant in South Wales, I am amazed to tell you how wonderful this place is. The atmosphere is cosy but not cramped meaning the staff can be attentive but not overbearing, also allowing you and your guests to have an excitable, open conversation without annoying the other diners. The dining area is lit and decorated with ambiance in mind, combining traditional with modern in a fabulously interesting way. Enough of that though, a restaurant is nothing without delicious food and M&M has an abundance of that. A six course sample menu was the order of the day and each dish was prepared with the utmost care, setting off an orchestra for your eyes, nose and mouth on arrival. Every plate was better than the last, weaving a tapestry of flavours and setting you on a culinary journey of excitement and intrigue. This is Indian cuisine like you have never had before and a million miles away from the lamb madras you had delivered the other week. Simply spectacular. If I could find one fault, it was the dessert however, by this point I was already satisfied beyond comprehension so it was purely a palette cleanser for taste buds that didn't want to be cleansed. Would recommend without hesitation. A must visit.
Lovely staff. Food to be honest, not that great. A thimble full of 3 dips to accompany the traditional poppadoms. Those who had the lamb rogan josh, said although the meat was tender, there was very little in the way of taste. My own chicken murgh was very nice. Although it is customary to provide heated wipes in Indian restaurants, I feel cloth flannels which were not to be laundered and recycled, needs addressing. Deserts overpriced

A very good restaurant. We always come for birthdays as it's a short walk for us, but I'd travel further because this is no ordinary Indian restaurant. Firstly they have a bar area which means one can relax with a drink after arrival before heading for the tables, and what a restaurant it is! Large, roomy and comfortable, you don't feel crammed in as other restaurants make you feel. They have one round table in the middle that must have had fifteen people sat round it while we were there. As for the food, well, what can I say that hasn't been said already? It is superb, and we've never been let down with constantly high standards throughout. If you have a celebration coming up, or just want to have a meal out with a partner or friends, this is the place for you. It's not the cheapest restaurant, but you get what you pay for, and what you get here is Indian food of the highest quality.
Probably as good a curry as I have ever had. Service was good. Prices were reasonable. Car park not really adequate

Very nice place for a coffee and to enjoy great views. Food perhaps lacking presentation but undoubtedly tasty and reasonably priced. Could now do with modernisation and looking a bit cluttered in the main area for ordering. Not quite a place to take someone on a date if you're hoping to make a good impression but hearty Italian home cooking without the frills won't disappoint. Definitely worth a visit. See what you think.
Overall great experience. Serving staff were nice, polite with good level of customer service. Toilets tidy and clean. Unfortunately food portions was brutally small and slightly tasteless. Spent £10 and feel like had just starter....

Sat out and had a wonderful view in the sunshine. Had a pizza between us which was very nice and had olives which is always a bonus. Reasonable price and good service.
Brilliant place really worth a visit when you in area. Fantastic food, great staff and really good value for money.

We dined here for our friend's birthday. The decor is ostentatious and the 80s music was enjoyable. The food was above average, interesting and different. The service was outstanding. A diner could not have the daal as it was too spicy for him. The team did not hesitate to replace this with an alternative. I would go back but not in a hurry.
We went here today for the Sunday menu for my birthday and have to say the food was amazing, one of the best meals I have ever had, really something special. Isn't cheap but well worth it for special occasion, the service was brilliant. Only reason not 5 stars is it was very warm I their due to aircon not working properly. Can't wait to go back xx

Not quite Sunday lunch but very pleasant afternoon. We booked to come here for Sunday lunch, a 40 minute drive, as had heard great things. Unfortunately the hot weather spell in Wales broke yesterday and clearly many people suddenly felt cold and in the need of a Sunday roast so there were no roast lunches left when we arrived for our 1:30 booking!!! Staff were very apologetic and very nice. We were given bread and oil on the houseWe ordered various tapas dishes. Highlights were the marinated chicken, chickpea dish and roast lamb tapas ( and some chap falling off his step ladder in a store cupboard?!🤣) Very nice and chilled afternoon.
I tend to go for a pint here while I'm waiting for my Chinese takeaway to be cooked. The pint is always of an excellent standard. Five stars !

Very popular for food and I can see why. Great prices and offers for excellent food. The presentation is amazing and I've never had to complain about portion sizes. Great daily food offers which easily beat Wetherspoons. The chef is very friendly and staff were extremely helpful. Fantastic selection of beers too.
Great friendly staff and management. Amazing value for your money. Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you.

Good food served at reasonable prices. The food is not sloppy and full of water or oily like many Chinese takeaways. The flavours and taste are awesome. Best Chinese in Penarth and surrounding areas!
Fab service and we always have stunning food. Never had a bad meal. Polite and efficient staff. We've used them for years and would never go elsewhere.

Family run Chinese takeaway which has been established in the area for many year. Serves a wide range of Cantonese food. Very popular as it's always busy
Delicious food, accepts card payments but sometimes there's a small wait for your food, because it's very popular.

Had to ask shop assistant in another store if they had a subway in this town. Thank goodness they had! 😊 Tucked away down a side street. Well worth the walk in the rain. Sub of the day was meat feast wow what a meal, ham, salami, TWO meatballs as well as cheese and all the trimmings. Fabulous!! We always look for subways no matter where we are 'cause we love 'em!!! 😂 As usual very friendly staff and food always fresh. Where else can you get a meal like this for the price. Answers on a postcard plse! :-)
Great staff, nice food and good customer service and shop is very clean. Definitely will visit more.

Outstanding! My mother and I had seen this place for some years and we always wanted to visit. The food is clearly prepared by an experienced chef and was delicious and special. Strongly advise booking as it's so popular. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Simply perfect. Thank you. Top tip: If you like fresh fish or a special recipe burger then you'll find nothing better than here.
Excellent food and friendly service in a distinctive venue with superb sea views. Not cheap but good value even so.

We love the harvester as their menu has a wide range for all people. Me at eaters, vegetarians, vegans. Said bar is great to start with and great for kids of a picky eater. Colouring pack available for young ones. Staff always been so friendly and not over powering like some other places. Relaxed atmosphere. We always choose the harvester for gatherings because of this also disabled access and certain family members feel comfortable here sue to the atmosphere. See you soon Harvester.
Great waitress from Essex. Amazing personality, forgotten her name but if you meet her you won't forget her, really lovely and attentive. My guess is many folk go back to be served by her. She is lovely. Food comes a close second... Not bad...
